# BAO Seasons

## BAO Seasons: Curated Cultural Launches

### Why Seasons?

While many platforms consistently launch new DAOs of many different themes, this cycle can create mercenary behavior as traders dump to catch the next launch. Our seasonal approach gives each BAO room to breathe, establish value, and prove its performance.

As well, metas change, they come and go, and baos.fun should be given the breathing room as a protocol to iterate on this and adapt with the times. So even in future seasons, we will likely drastically change our launchpad mechanism, BAO themes, etc.

### Season Structure

Each season spans a few months, featuring six or more carefully selected BAOs. This focused structure focuses on quality and engagement from the community both on chain and socially. The limited launches ensure each BAO gets the attention and resources needed for long-term success. At the end of every baos.fun season, there will be seasonal rewards from the baos team.

### Selection Process for a BAO

* Strong existing community presence in the Berachain ecosystem or beyond
* Extending the BAO framework, what is a project that is presumably too wild to launch on baos.fun? What is a right fit?
* Long term contribution to the Berachain ecosystem

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.baos.fun/baos-101/bao-seasons.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
